How do you define balance in your life?
Balance to me is simplifying priorities to ensure you are enjoying life in all its compartments. The day-to-day gets so busy. Balance is making sure the most important things – like health, family life, and work get the attention they need, and then creating the extra time in your day to maximize the joys in your life.
What was your favorite gift you ever gave?
When my mom turned 60, my sister and I gifted her a weekend stay at the Glasbern to celebrate her milestone birthday. We indulged in delicious meals, watched lots of movies, and enjoyed the downtime and togetherness. We all had a great time together and created a lasting memory. I believe the gift of an experience is money well spent.
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I have a knack for interior design. I love creating new spaces to enjoy. Whether it is a reading nook in the living room or an outside seating area, I am always looking for new ways to create spaces that feed the soul.
What’s one thing on your bucket list?
When my son was three, I made (an attainable) bucket list to travel to a new place within the U.S. each year. Some of our destinations have included a road trip out west (Las Vegas, Route 66, Zion National Park, Grand Canyon), Finger Lakes NY, NYC, Outer Bank NC, Acadia Maine, Boston, Washington DC, and Disney.
