Dennis Morton Honored with Silver Beaver Award by Minsi Trails Council

Morton Brown Family Wealth is proud to share that Dennis Morton, CFP®, Co-Founder and Principal, was recently awarded the Silver Beaver Award by the Minsi Trails Council, Scouting America. This national honor is presented to adult volunteers for distinguished service to youth.

“I was truly surprised and humbled to receive the Silver Beaver Award,” said Dennis Morton, who was recognized alongside fellow award recipients at the Council’s annual recognition dinner. “Serving in Scouting has been its own reward, but to be honored in a room full of dedicated volunteers and this year’s Eagle Scout Class made it incredibly meaningful.”

When asked about the role Scouting has played in his life, Dennis shared:

“Leading a Scouting family has been one of the great joys of my life, and I’ve also been grateful for the opportunity to shape and strengthen the program within our Council. I’m proud of the lessons Scouting continues to teach our kids and others about service, resilience, and leading with character.”

This moment was particularly meaningful, reflecting both Dennis’s deep personal connection to Scouting and his years of dedicated service. He currently serves as Chair of the Development Committee and is the Past President of the Executive Board for Minsi Trails Council.

Minsi Trails Council serves nearly 4,500 youth across eastern Pennsylvania. Supported by thousands of adult volunteers, the Council offers a variety of programs aimed at developing character, citizenship, and leadership skills in young people. Its camp, Camp Minsi in Pocono Summit, provides enriching outdoor experiences that are central to the Scouting America program.

At Morton Brown, we believe in supporting leaders who invest their time and talent in the community, and Dennis embodies that spirit in every aspect of his life. Please join us in congratulating Dennis on this well-deserved honor.
