About the Role
The Associate Wealth Advisor is designed for those who want more than “just a job.” This is a training-ground role for future advisors. It’s a place to learn, grow, and build a career under the mentorship of seasoned professionals.
You’ll support client relationships, grow your knowledge of financial planning and investments, and gain hands-on experience across all areas of our firm. This role also emphasizes professional presence, leadership, and community involvement. Over time, you’ll grow into a client-facing Wealth Advisor role, deepening relationships while representing Morton Brown as an engaged community leader.
What You’ll Do
- Support and deepen client relationships in partnership with lead advisors.
- Help prepare and follow up on client meetings and financial plans.
- Collaborate on portfolio management and trading operations.
- Learn our planning philosophy and client service model from the inside out.
- Build knowledge in financial planning, investments, and firm operations.
- Represent the firm in community and professional settings, supporting outreach and engagement efforts.
- Grow into an advisory role through mentorship, training, and hands-on experience.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of financial industry experience (RIA, independent brokerage, bank, or related).
- Bachelor’s Degree (finance or related is a plus but not required with relevant industry experience).
- CFP® designation or actively pursuing CFP® certification.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems.
- A self-starter with initiative and genuine curiosity.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a growth-minded environment.
